I am absolutely thrilled to post the complete cut of the wonderful comedy special I helped put together for Showtime entitled “HOUSE OF LIES LIVE!The show, which also airs on television on New Years Eve at 10pm on Showtime (with no beeps or edits), features House of Lies cast members Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, Ben Schwartz (that’s me), Josh Lawson, Lauren Lapkus, Eugene Cordero and Ryan Gaul performing long form improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in LA.

For those of you who have never seen long form before- the group begins by getting a random suggestion from the audience, they then use the suggestion as a springboard to MAKE UP AN ENTIRE SHOW ON THE SPOTNothing is planned beforehand. Every word is created right there, which is hard enough for seasoned improvisers, let alone these amazing actors who were daring enough to try it out for the first time on national television.

I have been performing improv for ten years at the UCB Theatres in New York and Los Angeles, so I am beyond excited to show the world even a taste of what we do on a daily basis. Please check out the video above (click on the settings wheel and pump that baby up to 720HD) and look out for the unedited, no beep version on Showtime/Showtime on Demand on New Years Eve at 10pm.

It would mean so much to me if you spread the word about the special. Please pass it around in any way you can dream. And yes, the online version has beeps in it, but those beeps made it possible for Showtime to post the entire show online for FREE (subscribers and non-subscribers) which is pretty amazing. Thank you so much to Showtime and to the huge amount of crew, cast, executives and producers who did so many things so well in order to make this special happen.

amazingly fun

Here I am playing Harrison Ford’s publicist, Rodney Waber, on IFC’s wonderful Comedy Bang Bang TV show with host Scott Aukerman, musical sidekick Reggie Watts and the tiny angel Anna Kendrick.

A whirlwind of amazing

I have a 1/2 formed Breaking Bad theory….
Walt’s family is killed, maybe even in his own house (hence the fence up around the house). Walt’s presumed dead. But he somehow escapes. (perhaps he’s not home when it happens and goes on the run) After Walt’s family is killed, Hank finally is able to go public with the information about Walt being Heisenberg. The community is shocked. (Hence his neighbor reacting the way she does)
After hiding out for awhile he realizes that even though he’s alive he’s nothing without his family. Walt decides to get revenge. He makes a plan. He’s going to kill the men and women responsible for murdering his family. But Walt isn’t going to go to jail. So he returns home to get the ricin. Because after he goes all Scarface with that giant gun. He’s going off himself.
What about Jesse? I have no idea. I don’t think Walt’s going to kill Jessie but I think that Jessie is going to kill himself.

Interesting theory, but I’m more in the camp that Hank will harm their family somehow… It’s been his MO the entire series… He’s too passionate/dualistic.

It’s entirely possible that I have no memory of this happening. - Paul

Reggie Watts makes music with the help of Paul F. Tompkins, Tig Notaro, Scott Aukerman, and Nick Kroll (as a baby chicken), everyone is affected by the sweltering heat in the studio…

Frozen pizzas continue to say “place directly on oven rack” when we all know that your thawing pizza will fall through the gaps. Why is this the world we live in?
